Description

Our client based in Leeds is looking for an Events Sales Manager to join their team!

This is a FANTASTIC role for an experienced Sales and Event professional who is ready for progression and craves more responsibility, combining sales, marketing and events.

As an Events Sales Manager you will target local businesses to increase revenue and occupancy for the venue. You will also be responsible for the planning and delivery of events. It’s important to show you’re capable of managing a variety of occasions, bringing in new business and creating successful events that meet client needs.

Duties of the role:

Business Development – To seek out, initiate build and develop relationships with potential Clients, from creating actual opportunities to winning new business, maximise new business opportunities
Securing viewings/Client Meetings
Dealing with both inbound and outbound enquiries.
Achieve targets and KPIs
Able to be briefed by the Client on a project and interpreting that brief into meaningful action.
Ensuring that all Client requirements are met on time and to specification and seeing the event through from initial enquiry to the follow up after the event and ensure each event runs smoothly.
Devising promotional themes and mechanics, developing and writing proposals for presentation to the Client.
Production – sourcing and purchasing where necessary of items required for a client event or job.
Event Delivery -Event co-ordinating, helping to ensure the smooth running of an event.
General office/administration duties.
The Candidate:

Have a strong Events background, Sales or Account Management experience.
Take a proactive approach to sales and are always seeking out new opportunities.
You are confident and charismatic with an outstanding telephone manner and interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of meeting targets.
Strong customer service skills and a real passion for events, whilst being efficient and organised, and competent at all aspects of Microsoft Office.
Be used to working on the telephone.
Be efficient and organised with excellent time management and organisational skills
Competent at all aspects of Microsoft Office, including word Excel and PowerPoint
Qualified first aider – certificate kept up to date
Be a self-starter who is highly motivated to think through and get on with the job accurately and effectively.
